Reconsidering "Black Friday"
"When you stop chasing more of what you don't need, you free up tremendous energy to do more with what you have, and what you have grows." ~ Lynn Twist
What is the impact of our consumerist culture on our spiritual development? How do we strike a balance between being in this world and becoming enveloped by the many distractions of this world? How do we prioritize the work for social justice, equity, and healing in the face of the financial, social, and cultural demands all around us?
This coming Friday, what if we reconsidered the cultural tradition of "Black Friday?" What if it was re-envisioned as "Kind Friday?"
What sorts of things could we do to align our inner intentions with our outer actions?
